I seem to be rather alone in my current boredom with technology. Tech, tech, tech. Everywhere. Sometimes, technology is integrated well, like, for example, the lady that tells me how far I've run on my iPod nano. Other times though, things seem to be out of control.
Take, for example, the fact that not only do children adopt technology earlier and earlier, some of us are actually encouraging it. Is this technology inflation, or is early introduction a positive thing? For example, what kind of software should one load on a 4-year-old's personal netbook [Slashdot.com], assuming, of course the child should even have one.
This wiki will catalog and discuss the various ways technology is being misrepresented in our culture. There is a push, an obsession, in American culture to leave behind any method or device that appears to be, for some reason, 'outdated.'
